Rebecca studied the traditional art of decoupage, and has taken the technique to another level. She produces tablemats, coasters and watergiled mirrors.

Rebecca is also producing stunning watergilded mirrors; a process where the reverse side of glass is gilded using silver leaf with water together with decoupage flowers creating an antique mirror effect.

Rebecca Decorative Designs brings decoupage into the 21st century, blending beauty and functionality. Rebecca creates art for everyday use in the home. All of her work is painstakingly hand-crafted in her studio/showroom in Ditchling, East Sussex.

Drawing its name from the French ‘decouper’ which means ‘to cut’, decoupage is an old craft which was traditionally used on furniture. Paper images were cut out, pasted onto furniture and repeatedly lacquered until the images appeared to sink into the wood, looking as though they had been hand-painted. Rebecca has taken this technique and uses it under glass producing exquisite tablemats and coasters that will protect your beautiful dining table and enhance any room. The mirrors are made using both verre églomisé and decoupage on glass creating a stunning finish that will look wonderful in any room in both a traditional modern settting.

Each piece is individually made to order with an array of designs and colours to choose from. The mirrors come with either plain or bevelled glass and there are four different flowers to choose from and two styles of frame.
